by Monica Kronfli, International Academic Pathways and Mobility

in the December 2017 issue

An International Education Committee (IEC) will be formed as a new standing committee of Seneca’s Academic College Council (ACC). The IEC will provide regular reports to and receive feedback from ACC on matters pertaining to internationalization, a strategic objective that is being embraced college-wide. In the new Strategic Plan (2017-2022), there are clear ambitions to be an international institution that embraces and reflects globalism, citizenship, and pluralism. The IEC will review and discuss policies and procedures, as well as initiatives and activities pertaining to internationalization in academic areas and in international mobility activities.

The IEC will be comprised of two (2) academic chairs; four (4) faculty, including a faculty member from Teaching & Learning; two (2) student representatives; one (1) Director from Seneca International; and two (2) support staff.

If you are interested in joining the IEC, please send a letter of interest to Monica Kronfli, by Friday, January 26, 2018, at Monica.Kronfli@senecacollege.ca stating how your interests and experiences align with above. Members are selected based on their innovative ideas, a solid use and understanding of the value of internationalization and creativity, and the ability to apply their thinking on an institutional level.
