Third-year Fashion Arts student Sori ParkBig congratulations to our third-year Fashion Arts student Sori Park who just won the grand prize for the international Pantone competition! The competition challenged students to create a design featuring one of the 6 different palettes chosen by Pantone as “The Colors of The Year 2021.” Sori created her fashion illustrations using Adobe Illustrator software.

Sori designed one outfit for each of the 6 colours from the palette, and masterfully played with the pattern and colour combinations. As a part of her prize, Sori will receive a Pantone home + interiors cotton swatch library that values US $8,400.00.

The designs are inspired by our hope of overcoming the COVID 19 crisis and the colours are distributed in balance to represent both hardship and hope in order to show that there will always be a rainbow after every storm.
