Registration for the ETC Virtual Lunch and Learn sessions this term is now open! Here are the upcoming sessions, including one in French:

H5P: Add interactivity to your course
March 30, 2021, 11am-12pm
H5P is a web plugin that enables you to easily create, share, and reuse interactive learning objects like interactive videos, drag-and-drop, fill in the blanks, flashcards, presentations, and many more. These objects can then be embedded into a website or a Learning Management System for sharing with your students. In this session, we will explore the H5P Studio platform and create, share, and embed some of the interactive content available.

Storytelling in Distance Education
April 4, 2021, 11am-12pm
Best practices in storytelling will be presented along with the technologies available and ways in which to bring these stories to life. Examples of how we have used storytelling will be shown.

Les meilleures pratiques en matière de «storytelling » seront présentées, ainsi que les technologies disponibles et les moyens de donner vie à vos histoires pour capter l’attention de vos apprenants. Des exemples vous seront présentés.

The Educational Technology Committee (ETC) is a subcommittee of the Coordinating Committee of Vice-Presidents, Academic (CCVPA). It is comprised of members from all 24 colleges in Ontario. A central characteristic of the committee is the sharing of ideas, best practices, and teaching and learning strategies related to the use of technologies inside and outside of the classroom.
