There are three new programs launching this semester:

• Chronic Disease Management
• Honours Bachelor of Commerce (Business Technology Management)
• Mechanical Technician – CNC Programming

Chronic Disease Management is an Ontario College graduate certificate program that provides internationally-educated nurses with specialized training related to the prevention and management of chronic diseases. Chronic disease management is a specialization within the nursing field, which allows nurses to apply their practical knowledge to create patient care programs for chronic conditions. Graduates of this program will be well equipped to treat patients with chronic health conditions including cardiovascular diseases, cancer, diabetes, arthritis, chronic respiratory diseases, and chronic depression. They will also acquire the skills to manage a patient’s chronic condition, plan an individualized intervention plan, educate patients’ on self- management plans, and assess a patient’s condition based on outcome tools. This program is offered in partnership with INSCOL.

The Honours Bachelor of Commerce (Business Technology Management) baccalaureate degree program provides students with information technology (IT), business management and leadership knowledge and skills that can be applied to every level of the enterprise. It prepares graduates for jobs as IT-savvy business professionals who can operate effectively in cross-functional teams. Program graduates will be capable of planning, designing, developing, implementing, and managing IT strategies and technologies to achieve productivity, innovation, and competitive advantage in a globally connected digital world. Students also benefit from a co-op work term where they will put their learning into practice in a formal work environment and begin to develop a network of industry contacts ahead of graduation.

The Mechanical Technician – CNC Programming diploma program provides students with the mechanical skills required to carry out mechanical and manufacturing functions in production and processing environments. Graduates will be prepared to apply their knowledge of manufacturing materials, operations, and processes to support the prototyping, production, and assembly of mechanical components. Graduates will developed skills and safe working practices in the use of machinery, tools, and measuring equipment and instruments.
