Mythware is a Classroom Management Software that ITS has selected as the replacement to SeneLab tools. The selection process involved pilot testing the tool with faculty over the summer and collecting their feedback. Effective August 31, 2019, SeneLab tools will be decommissioned due to technical limitations.

Mythware Information

With Mythware Classroom Management (V2.7), faculty have the ability to ‘manage’ student networked computers by applying a variety of different options and/or restrictions to the computers in the lab. These options include:

  • Network Restrictions: Control access to the network (Internet) on student computers
  • Hardware Restrictions: Control access to hardware (keyboard, mouse, USB, CD/DVD, etc.)
  • Desktop Broadcast: Display your screen on all student workstations
  • Exam Provisioning: Controlled file-sharing to students during class (i.e., electronically distribute a test to all students in class and securely receive back their completed test)
  • Remote Options: Close applications remotely; restart or shutdown all student workstations
  • NetMovie: Broadcast videos to student machines
  • Interactive Whiteboard: The faculty invites all or selected students to finish a learning task together, such as doing an exercise, drawing, etc.
  • Lab Workstations
    • Lab Workstations Status View: Review the status of student workstations
    • Exam Provisioning Session View: Review the session information of student workstations during the provisioning of exams, including the details on uploads and downloads

Access to Mythware Classroom Management will be available on the professor’s workstation as a shortcut on the desktop.

Please note: Faronics Insight is still available for faculty use.
