Privacy is Everybody's Business - Faculty moduleThe Privacy Office is excited to announce a new faculty-specific version of the Privacy is Everybody’s Business training program. This 10-minute online module will provide practical information to assist faculty, and other academic staff, in meeting obligations for handling and protected personal information in compliance with Ontario’s Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (FIPPA) and Seneca’s privacy policies. You can access the online module now in MyPD.

The new module is being incorporated into the faculty onboarding training and is intended to complement Seneca’s other privacy awareness initiatives such as in-person presentations, the Data Privacy Awareness campaign, and the website. All current faculty and academic staff will also be invited to complete the training module in the fall.

Reminders:

Seneca’s Privacy Office is available to respond to specific questions related to the collection, use, and disclosure of personal information and can be reached at ext. 77846 or by email at privacyoffice@senecacollege.ca.

Any suspected or confirmed breach of personal information must be reported immediately to your Chair, who will then contact the Seneca Privacy Office. If your Chair is unavailable, you can contact the Privacy Office directly.
