Join the Seneca Sparklets competition! This is our brand new competition open to all Seneca faculty members!

Purpose
The purpose of this competition is to encourage the creative exploration of Adobe Spark for course content. Adobe Spark is a simple yet powerful content creation tool and all Seneca employees and students have access to it. We encourage you to consider how this platform can be used in your courses in both online and in-person contexts.

Goal
Using the board below as your guide, design three different projects which will enhance the learning experience of the students in your classes, and share your project links with your peers in our Wakelet collection.

The Seneca Sparklets competition board. To enter the competition, faculty members must create three of the following projects using Adobe Spark: Introductory "get to know me" video for your class; A visual representation of the course outline; A Blackboard course walk-through video; A graphic to explain the breakdown of an assignment; Free Choice: show your creativity!; A graphic explaining the Academic Integrity policy; An alternative lesson: replace your PPT with Spark; A collection of course readings and open resources; A First Impressions introduction page

Criteria
Select any three options from the board and start designing your creations in Adobe Spark. Once you are ready to share, upload your creation into the Wakelet collection.

Prizes
We have five gift cards to give away as part of this competition. To enter the draw for one of these gift cards, you must create three Adobe Spark projects and post them to the Wakelet collection.

Timeframe
The competition will run until December 11, 2020. Please ensure that you submit your Sparklets by the end of the semester.

Creating and Submitting your Sparklet
Once you’ve created your Adobe Spark, publish your project, generate a link, and paste that link into the Sparklet Competition Wakelet collection. Here are instructions on how to submit your Sparklet.

Please note: only Wakelet posts that contain your first and last name will be eligible for the gift card draw. And any projects not created in Adobe Spark will be ineligible.

Please contact us at teaching@senecacollege.ca if you need any help or have any questions.
