Accommodations for Students Registered with Counselling and Accessibility Services

Counselling and Accessibility Services offers support for Seneca students who have provided relevant medical documentation and would benefit from supports including accommodations. Counselling and Accessibility Services assist students to optimize their personal and academic potential with support from counsellors, assistive technologists and learning strategists.

Creating Accessible Documents

You can get access to Seneca branded documents including PowerPoints by going to Accessible Document Templates.

Two learning modules from LinkedIn Learning teach you, in video format, about accessible documents:

Explore Toronto Metropolitan University’s OER Understanding Document Accessibility. The content covers some basics on document accessibility and then provides some practical support for authoring techniques for word processors, spreadsheets and presentation and PDF applications.

Accessible Campus

National Centre on Disability and Access to Education (NCDAE) “cheat sheets” provide supports for Microsoft Office 2016.

Google Docs can be checked for accessibility using the Grackle docs add-on.
