On April 17, 2024, students from the Sustainable Business Management Graduate Certificate Program at Seneca Polytechnic's School of Human Resources and Global Business presented their capstone projects during the Capstone Showcase Event. This event provided a unique opportunity to witness the innovative ideas and solutions developed by our students under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Juan Marcelo Gómez and their clients to address real-world sustainability challenges.

We are grateful to the various departments that collaborated on setting up the event, from selecting the linens to providing technical support and catering. The unwavering support from our alumni, students, business clients, faculty, and administration played a crucial role in making this event a success. Special thanks to:

  • Jeff McCarthy, Dean of Seneca Business
  • Shahrzad Farzinpak, Chair of the School of HR and Global Business
  • Barry Naymark, Associate Director of Alumni Relations
  • Marko Jovanovic and Teresa Arturo, Academic Program Managers
  • Mary Drane, Professor and Program Coordinator
  • Dwangelyn Kayle Palma, Professor

We also appreciate the business clients who supported experiential learning and applied research throughout the term, including A&J Security, CarbonOne, ElmGrove Farm, Fox Theatre, Fresh Burrito, Kate's Garden, Muuse Canada, RainFed Foods, and RRI-O-TEC LIMITED.

Our graduates are now career-ready, having demonstrated their ability to apply project-based learning in applied research and industry practice. They are committed to lifelong learning, staying current with various technologies, and innovating for tomorrow. By engaging with colleagues, business clients, and a broader community, they have created a platform for a thriving community and significant value creation.
