Register for any of the Faculty Development Program courses via MyPD.

The Faculty Development Program (FDP) is designed to help faculty develop and/or demonstrate teaching-related practices in a flexible and practical way. It consists of three courses:

• Foundations of Teaching and Learning (FTL) * – pre-requisite for TEL and ITSP
  FTL is not running in summer 2022
  Fall 2022: Tuesdays, 9:50 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. (Eastern) or 1:30 p.m. to 4:10 p.m. (Eastern), Sept. 13 to Dec. 6 — participants must be available to attend both sections; the course facilitators will let participants know which section they are in closer to the course start date.

Note: FTL is the first course in the Faculty Development Program and the pre-requisite for TEL and ITSP.

• Technology-Enhanced Learning (TEL)
  Summer 2022: Wednesdays, 8:55 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. (Eastern), May 11 to June 15
  Fall 2022: Wednesdays, 9:50 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. (Eastern), Sept. 14 to Dec. 7
• Inclusive Teaching and Scholarly Practice (ITSP)
  Summer 2022: Thursdays, 8:55 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. (Eastern), May 12 to June 16
  Fall 2022: Thursdays, 9:50 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. (Eastern), Sept. 15 to Dec. 8

Each course requires approximately 36 hours of classroom and/or blended-mode participation. Faculty complete a portfolio with elements related to course design, classroom practices, and assessment of student learning. The FDP is a mandatory requirement for all probationary faculty, although all faculty members are welcome to enroll.
