The Teaching & Learning Centre and Program Quality wrapped up Teaching & Learning Day Spring 2023 - Pathway to Curriculum Integration, a one-day conference dedicated to launching Seneca’s first phase of the Curriculum Integration Project.

The day began with a keynote address delivered by Kevin Lamoureux (faculty member at the University of Winnipeg and award-winning scholar) who discussed 10 journeys that are key to the Curriculum Integration of Truth & Reconciliation (TRC), Equity, Diversity & Inclusion (EDI), and Sustainability (SUS).

During the afternoon, Kurt Muller, Dean of FCAD, led a panel discussion featuring Mark Solomon, Associate Vice-President, Reconciliation and Inclusion, Rema Tavares, Manager of Equity, Diversity & Inclusion, Lara McInnis, Professor in the Teaching & Learning Centre, and Holly Cybulski, Professor in the School of Media. The panelists shared their expertise relating to the themes of TRC, EDI, and Sustainability, and discussed ways to incorporate these priority areas into course design and teaching practice.

Over the coming months, Faculty Champions from selected programs will participate in a series of information sessions and workshops with the aim to complete a needs analysis and roadmap for their program areas. These sessions are open to all faculty (regardless of program) who wish to attend and learn more about TRC, EDI, and SUS, and how they can integrate these priority areas into their courses and teaching practice.

Session dates and information are available on MyPD.

Resources from the event, including any recordings, will be available on the event website.
