Learning opportunities aren’t just for our students. Seneca Polytechnic is committed to providing opportunities to employees for professional development and growth.

The 2024-25 Professional Development (PD) Leave program application period is now open and will close at 5 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 18, 2024.

The PD Leave program is a great way to support and enable employee development and growth through further academic studies, applied research or related experiences. The opportunity is available to faculty with at least six (6) consecutive years of seniority as a permanent full-time employee.

The number of Faculty leaves is prescribed in the Academic Employees Collective Agreement. There are up to twelve (12) Faculty PD Leaves available for the 2024 application period.

All eligible faculty wishing to apply for a PD Leave can submit a completed 2024 application and Individual Development Plan to Human Resources by 5 p.m. on Jan. 18.

Please register to attend the virtual PD Leave program information session on Wednesday, Nov. 8 at 2 p.m. to learn more about the program and application process. More information is available online.
