Developing Online Materials for Your Course

This course is designed to help participants explore and use online tools to develop materials for their course. Participants will use principles of universal design for learning (UDL) to develop AODA compliant modules, slideshow videos, screencasts, and interactive activities. Tools explored include Adobe Creative Cloud Express (formerly known as Adobe Spark), Google Sites, Screencast-o-Matic, Loom, PowerPoint, H5P, and Microsoft Stream.


This is a fully-online course with synchronous sessions.

You must be available on these dates and time for the synchronous sessions:

  • February 1, 2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. (Eastern time)
  • February 8, 2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. (Eastern time)
  • February 15, 2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. (Eastern time)
  • February 22, 2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. (Eastern time)

There are deliverables due each week which should take about 1-2 hours to complete.


Register in MyPD.

Registration closes at 4:00 p.m. (Eastern time) on Thursday, January 27, 2022.

If you cannot access MyPD, email teaching@senecacollege.ca and we can manually register you.
Please note: we cannot provide you with access to MyPD, but we can add you to our class list. Once you have access to MyPD, we will retroactively register you for this course in MyPD so that your PD records are accurate.
