Angela Zigras, Chair, School of Hospitality & Tourism, will be retiring after working at Seneca for 22 years on Thursday, June 30, 2022.

Angela began teaching Marketing and Advertising at Seneca as a contract faculty member in 1999. A year later, she was hired full-time and went on to become Chair, School of Marketing and International Business. In 2006, Angela led the relocation of the School of Marketing and e-Business to Markham Campus and became Chair, School of Tourism. She oversaw the rebranding of the School of Tourism to the School of Hospitality & Tourism in 2015 and its transition to Seneca Business. Between 2006 to 2021, Angela has helped create 16 programs at Seneca, 11 of which were new to the Ontario College system. Most recently, Angela led the creation of the Newnham Campus Flight Experiential Hub and Hospitality Lab, as part of Seneca Business’s collection of Impact Hubs. Angela was the first recipient of the Seneca Business Leadership Excellence Award.

In lieu of a retirement gift, Angela has asked that contributions be made to the Zigras Family Award bursary: http://give.senecacollege.ca/site/Donation2?df_id=3760&3760.donation=form1&mfc_pref=T
